Why a LaTeX-style resume?
Most software engineers and many campus recruiters expect the plain, dense, single-column look of LaTeX resumes like Jake's Resume: Computer Modern type, small-caps section headings with a rule, dates on the right, tight bullets. It reads as "engineer" at a glance and puts a lot on one page without looking crowded. This page reproduces that look in HTML, so you don't need to learn LaTeX.
ATS tips that actually matter
Keep one column, standard headings (Education, Experience, Projects, Technical Skills), real text rather than images, and no tables or text boxes for content. Start points with a verb and put a number in them. Use the job's own words for skills you really have. The PDF this page prints has selectable text, so an ATS can read it.
Using it with Overleaf
Download the .tex, open Overleaf, choose New Project → Upload Project, pick the file and click Recompile. The file follows Jake's Resume structure (\resumeSubheading, \resumeItem…), with every special character escaped, so you can keep editing it there.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything runs in your browser and is saved only in this browser's storage. Your resume, LinkedIn files and job descriptions never leave your device. Download a backup file to move it elsewhere.
